It was just like being back at Bowlers for me, and as I was tasked with bringing the night to a close (just like the old days), I was extra special!

The amazing tuneage helped a lot too! But it has been many years since i hav experienced the communal rave atmosphere . Was ace to be back in a full on crowd who were all well up for the night from beginning to end and who had no problems gelling as a full on happy bunch of ravers!

Made my wandering gaze a near forgotten utopia of fellow ravers all with a smile on their faces and a bounce on all night long!

Tunes all night were fooooookkkkkkiiin mint, much appreciation to all the Dj's.........i just couldn't leave the dancefloor all night and yeah i started to fade a bit at the end but Welly you played a blinder to bring me home mate. What really gave me goosebumps was the atmosphere. It really was top quality... everyone you looked at returned a smile or a grin or a handshake or a hug... not just some, but all... and that was excellent.

We took a few youngsters with us who have only had the honour of hearing us harp on about life and bowlers and everything that we all reminisce about! Without exception, they all said it was up there as the best night of their raving lives, as they had never experienced an atmosphere like it... high praise from kids who are regularly subjected to the more watered down, piss-head raving culture of the present...

Loved that fucking air horn! Yeah! Who ever that was I demand you bring it everytime! Yes you, everytime :D

The individual slant, the different flavour of every DJ's set was wonderful. Stu Allan was bouncy and my friends favourite. Rick Jones was my favourite with harder, breakbeat tracks thrown in.

It was like a cooking show where they all get the same main ingredients (Bowlers tunes, decks, crowd etc) but cook a very different dish. :D

I had a slight concern that we might here some very predictable track selection and mixing. So to hear the variety rocked! I realise now that I really underestimated the quality of the Bowlers DJ. Stunning guys, stunning.

The decor as already mentioned was a touch of genius. The Green stripes, the flyers on the sheets. Loved the green lazer, it all really reminded me of Bowlers.

The night also confirmed something I have long though. The Bowlers crowd is the greatest god damn crowd you will find. Fcuk Ibiza, Fcuk London, Fcuk every other club I have ever been in. Bowlers owns all your asses.

Clubbing died for ten years for me. Nothing could get close to Bowlers. Not the DJ's, venue or crowds in any other club. So congratulations on a ressurection boys. I tip my hat in your direction Gentlemen.

The only thing missing was a 4,000 capacity venue in Trafford Park.

Try a little harder next time will you :wink:
